One small push. Everything shifts.

The system is stable.
Probably.

Tipping Point is a systems-management game about keeping an interconnected system alive as pressure builds, resources disappear, and small failures begin cascading into much larger problems.

Every decision shifts the balance.
Fix one problem and you may create another.
Wait too long and the entire system can reach its tipping point.

How to Play

Monitor the system, identify developing problems, and decide where to spend your limited attention and resources.

  • Watch for instability
  • Respond to developing failures
  • Balance competing demands
  • Protect critical systems
  • Adapt when conditions suddenly change
  • Survive cascading failures
WARNING: A locally correct decision may have system-wide consequences.

The Tipping Point

One failure isn't necessarily dangerous.

Neither is two.

The problem begins when failures interact.

A damaged component puts more pressure on the rest of the system. That additional pressure causes another component to fail. Then another.

Eventually, you're no longer fixing individual problems.

You're managing a cascade.

Development

This is a game jam build, which means some systems may occasionally be held together by questionable code, rapidly changing ideas, and unreasonable optimism.

Check out the development logs below to see how the project evolved, including the things that worked, the things that didn't, and the things Emily told me I needed to fix.
